Jessie's Final Touches and a Finished Piece
Painting space and spacial elements is not as easy as it may seem. The most difficult part of this painting for most students is achieving the foggy look of different colored gases that we see in photos of space. This requires a mastery of blending paint correctly, achieving a smooth transition of color gradation. One of the other obstacles that Jessie faced was using a nylon brush in the beginning, which became some what of a problem when it came to blending. The best brush for blending is a good bristle brush. The painting turned out amazing! I’m so proud of Jessie’s effort and patience with the obstacles she faced.
